Overview

All works are digital and provided in PNG format.

I would describe myself as a character illustrator who specializes in creature design. I can draw a wide range of subjects, from cute toony mascots to grotesque movie monsters.

I have my preferences and may turn down a commission for any reason, but I like to keep my creative options open, so feel free to ask about anything that isn't on my "won't draw" list below. You'll receive no judgement from me even if it turns out that I can't accept your request.

Will Draw

• ✖ Complex environments (architecture, etc.)
• ✖ Underaged celebrities or otherwise real minors
• ✖ Other real public figures such as politicians or serial killers
• ✖ Parody or hate art intended to mock or denigrate someone or something

* _{This encompasses entertainers such as actors, idols, streamers, athletes, and so on, provided that they are adults (18 or older) in real life. I will not draw real minors whatsoever, or age down adult celebrities.}

Availability

At this time I do not do limited slots for commissions. If the status at the top of the page says that I'm open, it means I'm currently accepting inquiries.

Turnaround Time

My time zone is CT. Most pieces will take a few days to a few weeks to complete depending on their complexity and my current workload. I will let you know if something has come up that will cause a delay. Refer to the queue section at the top of the page to see what I'm currently working on (the queue is anonymized so only the date and commission type will be listed).

Complexity

If I feel like your character or scenario is so complex or outside of my comfort zone that it would be too difficult for me to draw at all, I will likely just decline the commission rather than charge more for it. In general I am fine with busy markings, extra limbs, wings, clothing, and so on, so I don't tend to charge fees based on character design alone.

Revisions & Corrections

For full illustrations I will send at least one rough WIP so you can ask for any changes or additions before I start rendering. Feel free to even draw over the WIP if a change would be easier to convey visually. Once you've approved the sketch and I have refined and colored the piece I will not make any major changes such as redrawing the pose, but if you see something that needs to be corrected (for example, I miscolored something or left out a marking) I will gladly fix it for you at no additional cost.

Private Commissions

If you have any preferences regarding how your commission is shared please let me know. Fully private commissions will incur a $15 fee. If you simply want me to keep you anonymous whenever I share the piece I can do so at no extra cost. If you're fine with me posting the piece publicly or don't specify I may or may not post it to any of my galleries, mention or tag you, or use it as an example when advertising my commissions.

Terms of Use

You may repost any artwork I create for you with credit, or keep me anonymous if you prefer. If you purchase a character from me you are free to alter their design, use them in personal or commercial projects, or trade, gift, or resell them to someone else. Don't claim ownership of my work, copy and redistribute anything for profit such as by selling my art on t-shirts or tracing it for your own paid work, or attempt to sell my personal characters or concepts themselves. I also ask that you don't repost anything that I share exclusively via subscription services such as Ko-fi Memberships.

Please provide the following information:

Commission Type (ex. 2 character fullbody illustration with cel shading)
Details (info about the character, describe the pose or environment, etc.)
References (attach any reference images or design inspiration if applicable)

If you want something very specific try to be as thorough as possible with your description. You can show me examples of other works that are similar to what you're after, or send your own stick figure sketch to help me visualize the scene. For page spreads or reference sheets tell me the exact number and type of drawings you want on the page.

For custom character or species designs I will need a written description, moodboard, or other inspiration to work from, or I can design an alternative form (gijinka, monster form, etc.) for a character that already has an existing visual reference.

You can give me artistic freedom in cases where you don't have something specific in mind. I may ask for more information if something is unclear to me or I feel like I need more guidance.

Payment is required up front and in full via PayPal invoice before I start working. Once I have confirmed all of the details above with you I will quote you the price of the commission and ask for your PayPal email so I can send the invoice.

Commission Types

Illustrations $35 - $70+

Illustrations include pin-ups, scenes, sequences, refsheets, custom designs, and so on.

These prices apply per character for any type of illustration, including refsheets and custom designs, regardless of the style of the piece. I default to clean inks for illustrations but if you see another rendering style in my gallery that you would like me to use instead feel free to ask about it (paintings excluded). For scenes that are more complex than your standard pin-up, the price may be negotiated depending on how visible or involved the various characters are (such as disembodied hands or partially obscured "mob" characters counting as halfbodies rather than fullbodies). If you have a fixed budget I may be able to work within it, or we can negotiate for more experimental works if your idea doesn't necessarily fit the description of character illustration.
